The Shabbos Project is a unique, international grassroots Jewish identity movement that unites all Jews to keep one full Shabbat together. The idea originated last year in South Africa, where the majority of the country’s diverse Jewish community joined together to observe a single Shabbat, most for the first time in their lives. The International Shabbos Project will take place on the Shabbat of 23/24 October 2015 in more than 170 cities and 30 countries around the globe.
The Great Neck Synagogue has partnered with The Shabbos Project and is encouraging everyone in our community to experience the magic of Shabbat to rejuvenate your family and our community, restore Jewish pride and identity, and build Jewish unity across Great Neck and the world!
