Great Neck Synagogue notes with sorrow the passing of Shirley Rutta, beloved mother of our member Norman (and Michelle) Rutta, and beloved mother of Leibel (and Rose) Rutta and Mona (and Ivan) Norman.
A graveside funeral will take place Sunday, June 2, at 11 am, at Beth David Cemetery, 300 Elmont Road in Queens.
The period of shiva, ending publicly Friday afternoon, June 7 will be observed at the home of Shirley Rutta, 3421 Fourth St., Oceanside, NY 11572. The family respectfully requests no shiva visits after Mincha/Maariv.
Norman will be returning to Great Neck and will be sitting shiva at his home, 9 Hickory Drive, from Thursday at 12 pm through Friday at 4 pm. There will be a minyan for mincha/ma’ariv Thursday evening at 8:10 pm.
