Great Neck Synagogue notes with sorrow the passing of Rita Woldenberg, beloved wife of the late David Woldenberg, z”l, beloved mother of our member Rona Woldenberg (and Ruby Askowitz) and beloved mother of Merle (and Eric) Gonchar.
The funeral will take place tomorrow, Monday, February 3, at 1 pm at Riverside Memorial Chapel, 180 West 76 Street, New York, NY 10023. The funeral will be live-streamed at https://www.legacycelebrated.com/rita-woldenberg/
The period of shiva, concluding Sunday morning, February 9, will be observed Tuesday and Wednesday at the Gonchar home, 115 Central Park West, Apt 8A, NY, NY. From Thursday morning through Sunday morning shiva will be observed at the Askowitz home, 6 Cove Lane, Great Neck, NY. The family will be sitting together in each location.
Shiva visiting hours will be:
Tuesday through Thursday from 10 am – 12:30 pm, from 1:30 until after mincha/maariv and from 7 – 9 pm. Friday from 10 am – 12:30 pm and Saturday evening from 7:30 – 9:30 pm.
Minyanim will be held in Great Neck on Thursday and Friday morning at 7:45 am and Sunday morning at 8:30 am. Mincha on Thursday afternoon will be at 5:05 pm.
