Great Neck Synagogue notes with sorrow the passing of Joan Aharon, beloved mother of Debby (and Avi) Levitt, Azriel (and Debbie) Aharon, our member and former President Danny (and Marcy) Aharon and Ariela Aharon.
The funeral will take place tomorrow October 28, 2025 at 1 pm at Ahavat Shalom Synagogue, 130 Cuttermill Road in Great Neck. Burial will follow on the grouds of King Solomon cemetery in Clifton, NJ.
Shiva, concluding Monday morning, November 3, will take place at the Aharon home, 20 Beverly Road in Kensington. Davenning will take place there according to the following schedule:
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning at 7:45 am
Sunday morning at 8:30 am
Monday morning at 7:45 am
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon at 5:40 pm
Sunday afternoon at 4:35 pm
Shiva visits are welcome all day other than during lunch, from 1 – 2 pm, during dinner from 6 – 7 pm, and not after 9:30 pm. Friday until 1 pm and Saturday evening from 7:30 – 10 pm.
