We have been in touch with Rabbi Barry Gelman of Houston’s United Orthodox Synagogue, asking how we can be helpful to their community. He recently contacted us asking for help in purchasing Kittels in time for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur, since so many have been destroyed in the flooding.
Please join us in this very specific effort. Each kittel will cost $35 (special thanks to JLevine and Sharon Goldwyn for their help). We hope to be able to send the kittels to Houston early next week, so your quick response will help these efforts. You can click here to make a donation to the GNS Jack Hershkowitz Emergency Fund through Paypal or by credit card, or else bring a check in this week to the GNS office. Thank you for partnering in this effort. May this new year be one of health and happiness for all of our communities. Rabbi Polakoff |
