Cantor Ze’ev Kron is the son of Holocaust survivors, Hinda Kron, a”h, and Menachem Kron, a”h.
Born in Haifa and raised in Rehovot, our Chazzan’s beautiful melodies and angelic voice are a natural by-product of his heritage. His father, Menachem Kron a”h, a baal musaf in Rehovot for yomim noraim for twenty-five years, was renowned for his sweet and warm voice and his excellent nusach. Ze’ev, as a child, sang next to him.
Cantor Kron studied in yeshivot in B’nei Braq and Yerushalayim and advanced his musical education at the Sela School of Chazzanut in Tel Aviv. He served five years at Young Israel of Ave K in Flatbush, and seven years at Congregation Anshei Sfard in Boro Park. Fortunately for our community, Cantor Kron came to our search committee’s attention just in the nick of time. During his Shabbat audition, it was apparent to all in attendance that G-d had orchestrated a wonderful musical shidduch.
The Cantor and Bracha are blessed with wonderful children (Shloimie and Gitty Kron, Toby and Moshe Dribin, Rivi and Moshe Moskowitz and Ruchie and Yoni Torgow) who are the parents of their beloved grandchildren.
