Great Neck Synagogue notes with sorrow the passing of our member Morris Hodkin, beloved husband of Cindy Korman Hodkin, beloved father of Halley Hodkin Garten, Adam Hodkin, Shayna Hodkin and Bernie Toledano.

The graveside funeral will take place Monday, May 15 at 2 pm at Wellwood Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.

The period of shiva, ending Sunday morning, May 21, will be observed at the Hodkin home, 19 Crampton Avenue in Great Neck. Services will be held there mornings at 7:45 am and evenings at 7:50 pm. Sunday morning at 8:30 am. Davenning and shiva visits will be held outside weather permitting.

The family requests no shiva visits between 12-1 pm, 5-6 pm nor after 9 pm.

The graveside funeral will take place Monday, October 19, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge Township, NJ.

Shiva, ending Sunday morning, October 25, will be observed at the Vilinsky home, 25 Oak Drive, Great Neck. Since Stephanie was in Florida with her father, in accordance with NYS Law, she remains quarantined for two weeks following her return. Great Neck Synagogue notes with sorrow the passing of Harold Waldenberg, a former President of Great Neck Synagogue (1955-56).

As one of the early pioneers he was involved in building Great Neck Synagogue and helping to lay the foundations for the growth of Orthodox Judaism in Great Neck. His wife, Jeanette, z”l, served as President of the Sisterhood. He is survived by his three children, Joel, Alan (and Sayde Beth), David (and Nancy), and many grandchildren.

The private funeral took place January 26th. Shiva is being observed at the home of David Waldenberg, 17 Hadrian Drive, Livingston, NJ.
