Edward Reichman is an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine and of Philosophy and History of Medicine at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine (AECOM) of Yeshiva University, where he teaches Jewish medical ethics. He received his semichah from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary of Yeshiva University and writes and lectures widely in the field of Jewish medical ethics. He is the recipient of a Kornfeld Foundation Fellowship and the Rubinstein Prize in Medical Ethics. He is a past member of the advisory board of the Institute for Genetics and Public Policy. His research is devoted to the interface of medical history and Jewish law.

Program Overview
The Scholars Kollel offers participants the opportunity to start off the day with thought-provoking Torah learning. Its classes are aimed to engage participants and to resemble a bais medrash style shiur, even for those that may not have a strong yeshiva background.
The Kollel meets every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at The Great Neck Synagogue located at 26 Old Mill Rd. The first class will be 8:30 - 9:15am and the second class will be 9:15 - 9:45am.

Rabbi Singer’s Talmud class invites the congregation to a Siyum to celebrate the completion of Masechet Shabbat, to be held in place of the midrash breakfast, immediately after morning minyan on Sunday, May 17, 2009. ALL INVITED!
